Meet the Bridgens Mark, Christina, Rebecca, Andrew & Corey. After growing up and living in Southwestern Ontario, and cottaging in the Kawarthas, we knew we would eventually move to the Kawartha area. The family values and small town atmosphere we found in Peterborough certainly made our choice easy…to give up our Corporate jobs, sell our house and move our family in 2007…the best decision of our lives. We have spent our careers in the service industry, from mechanic to Service Managers to Corporate Product Support Managers with major OEMs and with this experience, searched for the right opportunity. We purchased Southend Small Engine in October of 2007 from Ken and Donna Glover. It was at that point, the name was changed to M.C. Power & Sport. The biggest asset we received with the business was the previous owner, Ken Glover, who continues to work for us today. We operated at 727 The Kingsway in Peterborough until September of 2009 when due to growth in our business levels, we were forced to relocate to a larger facility to better service our customer needs. The new location at 423 Parkhill Road East, Peterborough, provided us with the necessary size to accommodate the addition of the Snapper product line of Outdoor Power Equipment. Today, we represent numerous different lines of engines, outdoor power equipment and work very closely with our mass merchants to provide customers with Parts, Sales and Service at a fair price and a friendly atmosphere.
